Working as a tutor is something I truly love. I am a friendly, kind and reliable person, dedicated to helping each and every one of my pupils achieve their very best through student-centred learning that is both challenging and tailored to meet their individual needs.
As an experienced primary school teacher and tutor, I have spent a decade in UK classrooms and twelve years providing private tuition. I specialise in preparing primary-aged pupils for school entrance examinations, as well as tuition for targeted support in all areas of the primary curriculum. My classroom experience equips me with the understanding needed to help children of all abilities reach their potential across all areas of the primary curriculum so that they can excel at school and perform well in their school entrance exams.
Outside of my tuition work, I have a mindfulness and meditation practice and I enjoy doing anything creative - from crochet to clay! I love spending time in nature and being around animals - sometimes my two black and white cats even make a guest appearance during my tuition sessions!

I also provide private tuition services for children who may need extra support or extension in specific KS1 and KS2 subject areas, such as maths, phonics and spelling or creative writing.
I’m available to work with home-educated children, providing extra support in specific subjects and helping to identify and address any gaps in learning. I respect each parent's educational philosophy and adapt to your child’s pace, interests, and learning style. My kind and patient approach creates a safe space for children to develop their skills and build confidence. I am also happy to go off-script when curiosity sparks something better than the lesson plan!
I communicate clearly and regularly and believe that tuition is a partnership with parents.

My strength lies in my calm, compassionate, and encouraging approach, which enables each child to achieve their unique potential within a nurturing environment, whether that be through online tutoring or face-to-face sessions.
I place a strong emphasis on establishing a positive relationship with every child I engage with, ensuring they feel comfortable and eager to learn.
Parents frequently express their appreciation for the noticeable increase in their child's confidence from attending my private tuition sessions.

Knowing that your child is receiving support and guidance from an experienced tutor can provide peace of mind.
As a tutor and a parent of two boys, I understand how important it is to choose the right support for your child. I bring both professional experience and a parent’s perspective to every session, creating a supportive, structured environment where pupils can grow and parents can feel confident that their child is well supported.
